CUBICLES
IN MY LIFE

...and it was just a curiosity to know what shape it gets, when the dot started it's journey...Curiosity transformed into observation..... Then it was the realization that...it was getting a direction too.
It got closer... got away... but never reached a culmination...again.......the observation transformed into search, ...to get out of that stage..... An eager desire to travel back the once trodden path; As treaded further......The desire to transform the desire itself..and...

Work

Doodlings

The impetus for my work is the world around me, its shapes, patterns, colors and textures. We are all repositories of our time and place and I think the work can not help but reveal the politics and cultures that have shaped me. In this way my work has a spatial and temporal component to them; where time and place collide into each other. My own sensibility has been shaped by the undeniable bond between my past and my present life. I hold dear childhood memories of playing in my backyard filled with all sorts of tropical trees, climbing on them and exploring gloomy places. I grew up with Maestro writers of imagination like M T, C Radhakrisnan, Urub, O V Vijayan who lend colourful wings to my flights of fancy. They shaped the way I look at things and built the foundation for my own imaginary worlds.

Life

Personal

My fascination with lines and colours started at an early age, a time which I feel like infinity. As a
child, the writings of many inspiring writers filled the outlines of my imagination with dark and light shades. These shades intermingled with the shades outside my home in kerala where I spend my childhood and did my basic education. The canvas of my surroundings enlarged with the canvas of my age and imagination.I did my formal degree in fine arts at Trivandrum which acquainted me with works and thoughts of all the inspiring artists of the world. That genuinely laid the foundation of my creativity. This experience left me with a sense of wonderment and awe at the magnificence and majesty of shades and
colour- the genuine foundation of my creativity.

Professional

For many...art is not a challenging career, even for those with talent and determination, as success is not assured. Yet none of that is going to put off a true artist who needs to express himself, and for whom art is always a natural part of his life. The self-determination, the personal decision that I am an artist brings in the combination...Art for art's sake...and...Art for my sake from within. Experimenting with new ideas and new things from time to time, exploring for depth as well as breadth to create my own unique style as an artist has given me varied opportunities to fit in myself in different organizations.
